Charlie McWilliams, Sr was a market hunter from Ocracoke but he also operated on Portsmouth Island around the turn of the century. Hie brother was the keeper of the Portsmouth Island Life Saving Station from 1903 to 1916. McWilliams had a son, Charlie McWilliams, Jr. (1892-1972) who also made decoys.
