Russell Waterfield was the grandson of legend Malachi Waterfield. Hie decoys had an oversized muscular look about them. In the 1920s, Russell Waterfield's business cards advertised oversized decoys for sale. This particular decoy has the Townsend brand indicating the owner of this decoy when used at the Possum Point Club.
Original gunning paint with moderate wear to body, working repair to neck, age check on bottom.
