Private Collection, Chincoteague, Virginia Known as the dean of Havre de Grace carvers, he has influenced many. He carved his first decoy in 1924. His work is prominently displayed in institutions such as the Smithsonian and the Havre de Grace Decoy Museum, which he helped establish. This example shows wonderful patina with head turned to the left.
