Lot Details & Additional Photographs
Detroit, Michigan, circa 1920, carved and painted wood, glass eyes.
Length 16.25 in.
Former collection of Donald Jordan.
Crafted between the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These decoys feature hand-carved wooden bodies with realistic painted details and are distinguished by their glass eyes, which add a lifelike quality to the design. Although part of the factory's standard grade line, the inclusion of glass eyes elevates their aesthetic appeal compared to simpler painted-eye models.
Original paint, small amount of neck filler remaining, tight age check on bottom.
