Today Preston's archive is considered one of the music industry's most important photographic collections in existence.
Preston began working with Queen in the mid-1970s as their tour photographer. This image was taken when he accompanied them for the South America tour. Preston later became one of the official photographers at the legendary "Live Aid" Concert at London's Wembley Stadium in 1985, and he was present for Queen's final tour with Freddie Mercury in 1986.
