Early 19th century, ink, colors, and gilt on paper, features a British officer or East India Company official together with a Maharaja in an ornately decorated Indian palace room, the two men are seated in western style armchairs, each with an attendant, the Maharaja is extending a sword touching the officer's head with blood emerging at the impact site, yellow ruled border, presented under glass with silk mat in frame from Wah Cheong, Hollywood Rd, Hong Kong.
Frame dimensions 19 3/4 x 16 1/4 in., Sight size 13 1/4 x 9 1/2 in.
Overall good condition; some minor to paper to upper middle on wallpaper; not examined outside of the frame.
