George Gibbs collaborated with notable figures like William Metford, co-developing the Metford rifling system, which was used in British military rifles in the late 19th century. The firm also produced the iconic .461 Gibbs No. 1 Farquharson rifle, a favorite among big-game hunters. Known for its craftsmanship and innovation, the company moved to Bath in 2021 and continues to maintain its legacy in fine gunmaking.
