Qing dynasty (1644-1912), includes a Kangxi period (1662-1722) Laughing Boy figure set into gilt bronze mount, wired separately behind for single light fixture (DOA 20 1/4 x 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 in., Figure only 9 in.)(some wear and loss to enamels; not examined outside of the mount), and a 19th century Blanc de Chine Laughing Buddha or Budai, secured to bronze mount, wired separately behind for single light fixture (DOA 21 3/4 x 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 in., Figure only 12 1/2 in.)(some crazing and hairlines; are of loss to chest; break with loss and repair to hand holding beads; not examined outside of the mount).


From the collection of Thomas English Cody (1889-1948), the great nephew of Buffalo Bill Cody, and by family descent.
