A Chinese Carved Wood Brush Pot with Inscribed Decoration

A large straight sided cylindrical pot of likely zitan wood, incised and then rubbed with green pigment, featuring a Chinese sage at rest reclining under a pine tree, a calligraphy inscription on the reverse side with two artist seals, circular opening to the bottom.

Good estate condition; crack with repair to underside; general wear and scratches to surface.
