Ming dynasty (1368-1644), a deep censer glazed in turquoise, chestnut, and green, the body flanked with tall arched dragon head handles, the body of the censer with moulded decoration of lotus blossoms beneath a band of sage or immortal figures encircling the neck, mask head to feet, raised on three squat legs, comes together with a reticulated carved wood cover and is set into a carved wood fitted stand.

DOA 15 1/4 x 13 x 8 1/2 in., Censer only 12 1/2 in.

Rubbing and wear with loss to the top of both handles and bottom of feet; one handle with some chips to edge; cover with some breaks to interior rim; finial lacking from cover; one leg with repair and restoration; repair and restoration lower end of one handle and area of jar where it attaches.
