Two Persian Miniature Paintings

Persian, Safavid or Isfahan, 16th or 17th century, two illustrated leaves from a dispersed manuscript, with writing to reverse visible through frame, presented in identical manner under glass with fabric gilt bordered mat in gilt and black wood frames, with glass window on reverse side showing writing on reverse side of the pages.

Frame dimensions 11 x 9 1/4 in., Image size 5 x 3 3/8 in.
