Rosanjin Kitaoji (1883-1959) was a renowned Japanese artist and epicure. Born Fusajiro Kitaoji, he adopted the artistic name Rosanjin. A multifaceted talent, he excelled in calligraphy, seal carving, painting, and ceramics. He is particularly celebrated for his innovative approach to pottery, where he emphasized the harmony between the vessel and the food it contained. In addition to his artistic pursuits, Considered one of the greatest Japanese ceramic artists, his ceramics are held in museum collections all across the world.
