20th century, includes a tray for tea kettle (shikigawara), stoneware, this ceramic surface would have been placed immediately beneath the container holding the charcoal for heating the kettle, preventing damage to the tatami mats that covered the floor of traditional homes (1 x 10 3/4 x 10 3/4 in.)(good estate condition), and a ceramic tea caddy (chaire), stoneware, with ivory lid, and fabric pouch (shifuku) (3 1/4 in., 2 7/8 in. diameter)(a small abrasion to the glaze).
