New York, circa 1870, gesso and gilt wood with black lacquer, brass mounted neck with engraved signature "Browne & Buckwell / MAKERS New York." (Edgar J. Browne and George H. Buckwell), featuring a fluted columnar pillar, soundboard with gilt floral designs within rosewood veneer edges, retaining seven of eight pedals, and raised on carved paw feet.
