Length 16.5 in.

Considered one of the finest waterfowl decoy makers of the Currituck Sound region, Burgess crafted elegantly shaped, functional hunting decoys, primarily from local juniper wood. His decoys, known for their smooth lines and distinctive paint patterns, were highly effective in attracting ducks. This example has a distinct winded head pattern.
