Developed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries around Toronto, Ontario, primarily for hunting on Lake Ontario and nearby marshes. Known for their refined, symmetrical forms and crisp detailing, these decoys often featured slightly lifted tails, finely carved bills, and careful paintwork.
Old gunning paint, the drake's head is loose but stable.
