George Tice, who passed away in January 2025, was one of the leading fine art photographers in the United States. His work depicts landscapes throughout the US, but he is best known for views within his native state of New Jersey. His photographs capture everyday scenes with a quiet precision, as seen in notable series like Paterson and Hometowns.

Tice was a founder of the influential Witkin Gallery, one of the first galleries dedicated exclusively to fine art photography. His photographs are held in major collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Art Institute of Chicago; the J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles; and many others.

Overall very good condition; some spots to underside of frame plexiglass that don't appear to affect print; not examined out of frame.
