Sold to Benefit an Arts Foundation in Southern Illinois Boris Bućan was a Croatian artist known for his work in graphic design and fine art. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and was active in the New Art Practice movement during the 1970s and 1980s. Bućan's posters and public interventions, such as his "Bucan Art" series, critiqued consumer culture and the commercialization of art. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Biennale, and his work is held in significant collections such as the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
