Chincoteague, Virginia, circa 1980, carved and painted wood, hollow body, glass eyes, signed in pencil on bottom DELBERT "CIGAR" DAISEY.

Length 11 in.

Cigar was given his nickname by a game warden when he lost some cigars while stealing ducks from the warden's trap. Cigar Daisey and his stories are of folk legend. His life and decoys have been memorialized in a book by Doily Fulcher.
