Rare Percy Carawan (NC, 1910-2005), Miniature Goose

Lake Mattamuskeet, North Carolina, circa 1980s, carved and wooden head and neck, painted styrofoam body, signed PERCY CARAWAN on the bottom.

Length 7.75 in.

A very rare miniature goose decoy made in the style of the iconic geese he made in the 1930s. There are two nails in the tail of the body to counterbalance the snakey root head.
