From the Collection of a Gentleman Greensboro, North Carolina Founded by William "Bill" Evans in the 1920s, the factory became well known for producing high-quality working decoys that were both durable and attractively painted. Unlike purely handmade decoys of the earlier era, Evans adopted a more commercial approach, utilizing machine-assisted carving and stencil painting techniques to create consistent, affordable products for the growing number of American waterfowl hunters.
