Meiji period (1868-1912) or Taisho (1912-1926), finely worked silver wire with a pair of brightly colored birds, one is flying while the other is perched below a large orange chrysanthemum bloom, the neck and foot with a band of repeated circles filled with turquoise, applied with a silver neck and foot rim, with artist's mark to center of the underside.
