Meiji period (1868-1912) or Taisho period (1912-1926), a yellow ground vase very finely decorated in silver wire with a pair of quails together beneath flowering autumns grasses, silver rims, a
jungin (pure silver) mark to the foot rim, an unidentified artist mark to center of underside.

Private Collection, New York and London The artist's mark to the vase is unidentified, but the finery of the workmanship and the style of decoration are similar to artworks created at the Ando Jubei Company during the early 20th century.
Scratches to top of body and amid the autumn flowers; some loss and restoration to right below rim to upper left side.
