Meiji period (1868-1912) or Taisho period (1912-1926), circa 1912, the rounded rectangular box with flush fitting covers and silver mounts, decorated in colored enamels on a pink ground and worked in various thicknesses of silver wire, with a character to the front surrounded by a wreath of flowers, the same pattern is continued to bottom rim of cover and top rim of the box, the interior with silk brocade lining, the base with two character mark in blue.
