A Japanese Cloisonne Purple Ground Enamel box with Cover by Hayashi Tanigoro

Meiji period (1868-1912) or Taisho period (1912-1926), circa 1912, the rounded rectangular box with flush fitting covers and silver mounts, decorated in colored enamels on a purple ground and worked in various thicknesses of silver wire, with a character to the front surrounded by a wreath of flowers, the same pattern is continued to bottom rim of cover and top rim of the box, the interior with is silver, the base with two character mark in blue.
