Momoyama (1573-1615) or Edo (1615-1868) period, 17th century, includes a negoro lacquer stand on flaring high foot, together with a negoro lacquer bowl with black lacquer to interior and underside, the stand has a family crest (kamon) with eight dots encircling a central larger dot, identifying the stand as belonging to a certain Japanese family lineage.
