Edo period (1615-1868), hanging scroll, ink and ink wash on paper, the painting features a tiger resting near a waterfall, the tiger is position centrally and looks up towards the right, the waterfall cascades down the left side of the painting surrounded by rocky cliffs, the skilled application of the black ink creates depth and texture to the tiger and landscape, two red artist seals to lower left, wooden rollers, comes together with a
tomobako wooden storage box.
