I Ketut Keteg was a prominent Balinese painter and musician whose work blended traditional Balinese themes with modern artistic expressions. Born in the village of Batuan, Bali, Keteg began his artistic journey studying under I N. Ngendon. He later collaborated with fellow artist Ida Bagus Made Poleng in Ubud, further refining his craft. Keteg's paintings are characterized by their meticulous composition and intricate details, often depicting scenes from Balinese mythology and daily life that showcase the dynamic interplay between the supernatural and the natural world.
