Ming dynasty (1368-1644), in the form of archaic bronze, with leaf green glaze, the square body raised on a splayed, stepped foot, flanked by two mask handles, decorated with key frets to the border, the domed cover is decorated with a spear knob.

7 1/4 x 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 in.

Repairs to the cover with retouching, some chipping to the interior rim, rim of the lid, and base, rubbing and glaze loss.
