Meiji period (1868-1912) or Taisho period (1912-1926), includes two boxes decorated in shakudo technique with mixed metals, the first with an expressive horned dragon produced by Moriyoko with the company mark and jungin pure silver mark to underside rim (1 3/8 x 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 in.)(some slight loss to wood on interior rim; some tarnish to surface), the second with a fishing village landscape with gold artist seal to cover and jungin pure silver mark to underside foot rim (1 3/4 x 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 in.)(an area of loss to black lacquer on underside of box and a nick with loss to lacquer to underside of cover; a light push to one corner of box; some tarnish to surface.)
