Meiji period (1868-1912), finely worked silver wire with a fierce looking hawk perched in a cherry blossom tree focused on the ground below and looks as if he about to take flight, the neck and foot with a band of repeated stylized foliate motifs within shield-shaped cartouches, applied with a silver neck and foot rim, jungin (pure silver) mark to foot rim, with artist's mark to center of the underside.
