Churches Island, North Carolina, circa 1950s, carved wood.

Length 123 in.

This finely formed shove pole was used to push a skiff in the shallow edges of Currituck Sound. It is made of Ash and was owned and used by Ambrose "Hambone" Twiford.

Original and in very good estate condition, some light wear to the grip end.
