Introduced by Phillip Sanford Olt of Pekin, Illinois, the Model A-50 was one of the first commercially successful flute-style goose calls. Olt, a pioneer in game call design since 1904, is credited with inventing the Arkansas-style duck call and setting a new industry standard with his straight reed over curved tone board innovation.
Designed to mimic the deep, resonant honk of the Canada goose, the A-50 produced a wide range of tones and greater volume—making it a favorite among North American hunters. Its effectiveness in the field earned it lasting popularity, and it remains a prized collectible today.
