A Chinese Export Porcelain Copper Red and Underglaze Blue Dish

Kangxi period (1662-1722), porcelain plate with barbed rim, center hand painted with large peony blooms and a butterfly in copper red, two floral borders in blue, apocryphal four character Xuande mark to underside within two blue circles.

1 1/4 in., 8 in. diameter

Some fritting to the rim; hairline to rim; later red enamels to some flowers along rim border and to underside of dish; old paper label to underside.
