Italy, second half 20th century, designed by Gianni Inclimona, founder of La Bottega del Vasari, onyx and marble chessboard set within an ornate gilt and silvered metal scroll footed terrace, includes (32) hand-chiseled gilt and silvered bronze pieces representing Romans and Egyptian armies, an Egyptian Rook retaining "La Bottega / del Vasari / MADE IN ITALY" label to underside.

Chessboard 3 x 17 1/2 x 17 1/2 in.; Tallest figure 4 1/4 in.

Some areas of rubbing to the gilt and silver finish with areas of tarnish; a few minor areas denting or mis-shaping.
