A Persian Miniature Painting

Persian, Safavid or Isfahan, 16th or 17th century, an illustrated leaf from a dispersed manuscript, presented under glass with fabric gilt bordered mat in a gilt and black wood frame, verso with glass window to display script on reverse side of the painting.

Frame dimensions 11 3/4 x 11 1/4 in., Image size 5 3/4 x 5 1/2 in.
