A Chinese Neolithic Storage Jar

Majiayao culture or style, earthenware in ovoid form with cylindrical neck, polychrome decorated in brown and red with geometric patterns, small shaped handles flank the lower center of the body with small pierced ears to the upper rim, undecorated to the bottom and underside.

9 1/2 x 11 x 9 in.

Some surface rubbing, scuffs and marks; else good estate condition; some natural areas of pitting to the clay.
