Meiji (1868-1912) or Taisho period (1912-1926), bronze sculpture of a mouse holding a chestnut, with raised two character artist's mark to underside, presented together with original inscribed tomobako wooden box.

Mouse: 4 x 6 1/2 x 5 in.; Box 5 x 7 3/8 x 5 1/2 in.

Mouse is in good estate condition; box needs repair to one side.
