From the Personal Collection of Mr. Kroghie Andresen Charlotte, North Carolina Former collection of Harvey Hamilton, Morehead City, North Carolina. Harvey Hamilton and Henry Murphy had a hunting camp on Core Sound near Harkers Island.
Murphy is one of the most important makers from Davis, North Carolina, known for his expertly crafted duck decoys that exemplified the traditional Core Sound style. Active during the early to mid-20th century, Murphy's decoys were prized for their graceful lines, functional design, and durability in harsh coastal hunting conditions.
