Purchased from the family of Julian Hamilton, Jr on May 15, 2004.

Leckler Lewis was born in Stacy, North Carolina and learned how to hunt and fish at a very early age. Known as "Leck", he became a commercial fisherman and used nets handmade by his mother and father. He became close friends with Mitchell Fulcher and Julian Hamilton, Sr. This example is the only known surviving goose.

Second coat of gunning paint on the top side of the body, age checks in the body, working repair to the neck.
