Known as the father of modern advertising, Leonetto Cappiello created this dynamic poster for Cognac Albert Robin. In his striking design, a flamboyant and oversized red bird—more exotic than the company founder’s namesake robin—perches atop a cognac barrel. Cappiello’s clever visual pun and bold composition helped distinguish Cognac Albert Robin in a spirits market that was flush with competition.

Condition A-: Beautiful condition and a strong, bright impression; some margin toning, few minor spots; and slight sheet waviness; not examined out of frame.
