Meiji period (1868-1912), a bronze reticulated incense burner cast with birds flying amongst floral vines, raised on four mythical creature mask head legs, the censer is flanked on either side by bats with their wings extended, original cover has been replaced with later bronze cover and set as an oil lamp with glass bulb shade, now electrified with single light bulb fixture.

HOA 21 x 11 x 10 in.

Good estate condition; working at time of evaluation; fleabites to outer shade; censer not examined outside of later mount.
