Being sold to benefit Penland School of Craft, Penland, North Carolina Penland’s scholarship program exists to make their workshops accessible to those who are not able to participate without financial assistance and to create educational opportunities for people who have been underrepresented at Penland and in the craft world. Proceeds from this auction will help fund existing scholarships, with some proceeds designated towards specific scholarships as noted in the listings.
Levin is an internationally known glass artist who lives and works near Burnsville in the mountains of Western North Carolina. He was the Resident Glass Artist at the Penland School of Craft and has continued to teach and exhibit internationally. His work is in numerous public and private collections, including the Corning Museum of Glass, the Museum of American Glass, the High Museum in Atlanta, the Contemporary Glass Museum in Madrid, the Ebeltoft Glasmuseum in Denmark, the Great Synagogue of Jerusalem, and the Museum of Arts and Design in New York.
