Late 19th or 20th century, porcelain hand painted in underglaze blue with double happiness symbols, a popular wedding motif in China, against a scrolling peony vine ground, above are more double happiness symbols, around the rim is a key border, both vases are flanked at the neck with faux handles of a mother and baby foo lion, a lovely auspicious pair.
Tallest 17 3/8 in.
Several nicks to one rim and one nick to another; small firing cracks to handles of both; firing hairlines to underside of one; both with scattered small abrasions to body.
