Meiji period (1868-1912), late 19th century, an elaborately carved wooden cabinet for showcasing art, with carved lacquer sliding doors with floral decoration, raised on four short cabriole legs, decorative scroll ends to top sides of the cabinet, mother of pearl drawer pulls, a very attractive cabinet.

Overall very good estate condition; one mother-of-pearl handle with break and loss; some scattered areas of wear to edges from use, especially where the panels and doors open and close.
