Meiji period (1868-1912), an impressive vase mainly finely rendered in silver wire of varying gauges and some areas with musen wireless technique, graceful flowering purple wisteria blossoms descend from a thick branch where a pair of birds sit intertwined, below large pink peonies bloom, the scene is continued around the entire vase, above around the mouth rim is an applied bronze swirling cloud border, at the bottom above the foot rim is a small pattern border, appear unmarked.

Very good estate condition; a few light scratches to petals of large peony on front and just above to the left near flower bud; area of loss to enamel in interior of mouth rim with push to interior of rim.
