A Pair of Chinese Carved Cinnabar Lacquer Gourd Shaped Boxes

Qianlong period (1736–95), finely carved lacquer gourd shaped boxes with relief carved vines and fruit over a diamond diaper ground, black lacquer to the interior of boxes, come together with ornate carved wooden stands with leaves.

One box with very slight nick to interior rim and small loss of carving to front by rim; one stand has several breaks with losses and possible break and repair, the other with small loss and break down center.
