Lawrence Howard was a native Ocracoker, although he spent most of his lie in Pennsylvania. He left Ocracoke before 1930 and probably made most of his decoys on the island before he left Ocracoke permanently. Many of his decoys are classic root heads but some have heads carved from sawn timber.
Original paint, head slightly loose, age check in the bottom of the body.
