Perry was a professional waterman who spent his entire life in Kitty Hawk. He carved several stands of decoys in the 1930s. His decoys have the forward crest on the heads like the John Austin birds but generally have longer bodies.

Original paint worn to bare wood in places, tight age checks in the body, working repair to the neck.
