Meiji period (1868-1912), circa 1900, a lovely serene silk embroidered panel of a river running through a bamboo grove with a traditional Japanese house to left side, the sun appears to be rising or setting with orange hues radiating from sky in the background of the panel, the long and short stitches are used to show how the river water flows around the rocks, the bending bamboo stalks frame the scene and create a quiet and peaceful image, presented framed.
